Grammys 2015 winners – in pictures

 

UK singer-songwriter Sam Smith is the biggest winner of the night, taking home four Grammys: best new artist, best pop vocal album for In the Lonely Hour and both song of the year and record of the year for Stay With Me.

Pharrell Williams wins best pop solo performance and best video, after his monster hit Happy took global charts by storm. Williams also won best urban contemporary album for Girl.

Beck wins album of the year and best rock album, with his release Morning Phase.

 

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett win best traditional pop vocal album for Cheek To Cheek

Reid, Kimberly and Neil Perry of the Band Perry pose in the press room after winning best country group performance, with their song Gentle On My Mind

  Miranda Lambert onstage winning best country album for Platinum.

Singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash wins best American roots performance and best American roots song for A Feather’s Not a Bird. Cash also won best Americana album for The River and the Thread.

 

Chick Corea holds the awards for best improvised jazz solo (for Fingerprints) and best jazz instrumental album (for Trilogy)

Members of the Old Crow Medicine Show band hold the award for best folk album, winning with their album Remedy.

Erica Campbell holds the award for best gospel album backstage, winning with her debut album Help.

 

Daughter of Joan Rivers, Melissa Rivers and her son Edgar Cooper Endicott, hold the award for best spoken word album for Diary Of A Mad Diva on behalf of her late mother

 

Best pop duo/group performance went to Chad Vaccarino and Ian Axel of A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera for Say Something

 Mexican musician Arturo O’Farrill holds his Grammy, with The Offense Of The Drum picking up best latin jazz album.

Jack Patterson, Luke Patterson, Grace Chatto, and Milan Neil Amin-Smith of UK outfit Clean Bandit, pick up best dance recording for Rather Be, which featured singer Jess Glynne.
