BIG BROTHER: THE CHASE,HEARTS TRUMP HEADS IN THIS WEEK’S NOMINATIONS
The
housemates on Big Brother: The Chase may have struggled to nominate
each other for eviction after just 24 hours in the game last Monday, but
this week DStv audiences saw how alliances, relationships and grudges
fuelled a tense nomination day in the houses.
When
the dust had settled and the Heads of House had had their say during
Monday night’s first nomination show, Ruby housemates Koketso & LK4
and Diamonds Feza, Hakeem & Dillish found themselves up for eviction
this week but the final decision is now all up to the viewers!
Following
a shocking first set of evictions, which saw Huddah and Denzel leave on
Sunday, it was time for housemates to sharpen their minds on who they
will be nominating. The Diamonds’ nominations saw Bolt lead the pack
with 5, followed by Hakeem and Dillish with 4 each.
The
bulk of the housemates cited Bolt’s perceived laziness as a motivating
factor for their nominations, while Hakeem was put in the firing line
because the housemates felt he was clearly not happy to find himself in
the Diamond house. Bimp and Fatima avoided nomination altogether.
Diamond
Head of House Betty was only ever going to save one housemate as part
of her ‘save & replace’ decision – and didn’t disappoint by saving
love interest Bolt from the block and putting Feza up for eviction in
his place. Relations between Betty and Feza have been rocky since day
one, with the Tanzanian nominating the Ethiopian last week and also
putting her up for eviction in Elikem’s place.
The
housemates predominantly cited Biguesas’ lack of participation in life
in the house as their reason for nominating him, while many seem to be
seeing LK4 as being particularly manipulative. Neyll has received a
frosty reception since being swapped over during the Airtel Arena
Showdown last week, reflected in the nominations he received.
Selly,
in her role as Ruby Head of House, also let her heart lead her ‘save
& replace’ decision, sparing Biguesas and replacing him with
Koketso.
