Meghan McCain attended the rehearsal dinner for her younger brother in the Tonga Room at the Fairmont Hotel.
Jack McCain, the second of the
politician’s four children with his second wife, Cindy, flies MH-60S
helicopters in the U.S.Navy. Raised in Phoenix, he studied Iranian
Politics at the Naval Academy and graduated in 2009.
His 29-year-old bride, a native of
Vacaville, Calif., serves as a captain in the Air Force reserve. The
couple met in Tamuning, Guam.
The couple said ‘I Do’ at the historic Grace
Cathedral on Nob Hill in San Francisco. The groom was dressed in his
Navy uniform for the ceremony as the bride walked down the aisle in a
stunning white, strapless gown with an organza tiered skirt.
After the ceremony at the Episcopal church, a
coterie of the politician’s closest friends were shuttled to the
California Academy of Sciences for the reception. Guests were seen
enjoying an elegant meal around a long table, with the happy couple
seated in the middle.
Jack changed into a white tuxedo for the
fête – and then swept his bride, who changed into an white evening gown,
across the dance floor.
